Fans revolt after reality TV show hints controversial breakdancer Raygun will join the cast

Australian television network Ten have released another clue as to who will be entering the “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” jungle next season, but the hint was met with some annoyance from fans of the show.

Viewers of the reality series are convinced a clue about a “headline-grabbing Olympian” who “loves freestyle” suggests that controversial breakdancer Rachael Gunn, aka Raygun, is set to join the celebrity cast next season.

“But will the jungle break them?” was a further clue shared on the show’s official Instagram page.

The potential inclusion of Raygun was not well received by fans of the show, who took their grievances out in the comments section. Some fans have even threatened to boycott the show altogether if Raygun does indeed enter the South African jungle.

“I’m boycotting the show if it’s Raygun.”

“I will not watch if ray gun goes into the jungle.”

“Geez I hope not, she’s not a celebrity.”

“Please NOT the ‘breakdancer.’ Don’t make me boycott for the first time ever. Noooooo!”

It appears the Raygun guessers could be on to something with Yahoo last week reporting that she was “very close” to signing on for a “six-figure sum.”

However, the star herself has rubbished talks she’s joining the cast.

“I just don’t think reality TV is the space for me,” Raygun said during a radio interview with Hit Network’s “Fifi, Fev & Nick.” “So I’m going to focus on things where I can really bring joy and to try and encourage people to be creative.”

She made similar comments on Nova’s “Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie”: “I mean, look, as someone that went viral from their performance at the Olympics, I think I’ve got a very memeable face. It’s very expressive, and I just feel like going on reality television is just not the right move.”

Ten have also released a few other celebrity cast clues this week as hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris prepare for the show’s premiere on January 19.

In another video clue shared on Instagram, a “TV host who’s no stranger to the fame game” was hinted at entering the jungle, but whether she can “take out the jungle jackpot” remains to be seen.

Among the guesses for this one include former “Sale of the Century” hosts Nicky Buckley and Livinia Nixon.

This past week, the network has also shared a “guest list” which hints at what type of stars will appear in Season 7 of the hit series.

The list includes a Star of the Silver Screen, Matinee Idol, Football Strongman, Leading Lady, Sporting Hero, Chart-Topper, Comedy Genius, Pop Culture Icon, Radio Star and Stadium Superstar.

Those rumored to be entering the jungle are former “Australian Idol” star Rob Mills, former “Neighbours” star Ryan Moloney, actress and model Nicky Whelan, comedian Carl Barron, and drag queen Kween Kong.
