Prince Andrew Feels Beatrice and Eugenie ‘Are His Only Lifeline’ (EXCL)
Prince Andrew is well and truly at rock bottom right now and pleading for help and support from wherever he can get it – which is stressing out his daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, and ex wife Sarah Ferguson to no end, a source exclusively tells In Touch.
“Andrew is like a lost puppy these days, constantly leaning on Sarah and their daughters for emotional support,” the palace insider says. “He’s become increasingly clingy, reaching out to them every chance he gets, almost as if they’re his only lifeline.”
As In Touch has reported, the disgraced royal’s daughters are some of the few members of the family that still give him the time of day. While Prince Andrew, 64, is busy fighting it out with King Charles over his eviction from the Royal Lodge, his daughters have been lobbying to put the whole sordid feud behind them, though it doesn’t seem likely any time soon.
A second source previously said that, “the two princesses have spoken to their uncle, asking him to forgive Andrew and for the two brothers to mend fences. But it remains to be seen if their requests have been heard.”
Still, his family is trying to help, even though it’s wearing thin on them. The first source continues, saying, “While Sarah and the girls are sympathetic to a point, they also have their own lives to manage,” and trying to navigate the minefield that is their father’s PR nightmare has “become a strain.”
Despite authorities in the United States icing their inquiry into the alleged sex pest and friend of pedophile sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, the prince is still carrying a black stain as, at least in the eyes of the public, he has yet to be vindicated. An undisclosed settlement he made with his alleged victim, Virginia Giuffre, aggravated public sentiment. Even though the prince denies any wrongdoing and nothing has been proven to the contrary, onlookers aren’t very happy with how he’s handled the scandal.
“For Sarah, especially, being associated with him is complicated. His reputation as the family’s black sheep makes her connection to him a sensitive issue, and it’s starting to reflect poorly on her as well.”
“She bears the brunt of it,” the source says. “He unloads every frustration on her and constantly asks for advice, and even requests her help in connecting him with people who could assist him with his business pursuits.”
“But Sarah has her own challenges, she’s dealing with ongoing health issues and an already packed schedule. Yet Andrew doesn’t seem aware of the toll his constant needs are taking on her, he’s too wrapped up in himself to think of anyone else.”
The prince’s daughters, the source says they “are in the same boat.”
“They love their father, but his continuous need for support is draining, and they’re starting to feel overwhelmed by his constant needs for support. They love him, but they do wish he would step up and handle his own issues with a bit more independence.”
“Ultimately, they want to see him take responsibility and move forward without relying so heavily on them.”
