I bumped into a sexy pilot at the airport — we’re dating now thanks to viral video
It was love at first flight.
A woman discovered that love was in the air after a chance encounter with a pilot in Mexico launched into a romance for the ages. A video of the couple’s serendipitous first meeting is currently taking off on TikTok with over 80 million views.
“They say that what is for you always comes back,” Fernanda Ramirez, who boasts over 480,000 TikTok followers, said, per Jam Press.
The passenger had been filming a video for her social media channels while waiting to fly to Cancun.
It was there that she bumped into pilot, Carlos.
In the video from August, the content creator can be seen posing in front of the camera, when all of a sudden, the flyboy walks right into her, seemingly distracted by his own device.
The two lock eyes for a second, before going their separate ways while stealing a final glance at each other.
It seemed that any hope of a relation-ship had sailed.
Then, while the influencer was on her flight, the footage blew up on TikTok as internet matchmakers urged Ramirez to track down the captain.
“This can’t end with just one look,” fretted one fan on Instagram, while another begged, “If he’s single I’m shipping y’all.”
This seemed to do the trick. In a twist straight out of a romantic comedy, Carlos saw the clip and contacted the traveler, revealing that he was the pilot in her video clip.
If that wasn’t serendipitous enough, Ramirez happened to be traveling to Mexico City — the same place that her beau-to-be had just touched down.
After corresponding online, the two agreed to rendezvous there in person, seemingly kicking off an “Officer And A Gentleman”-style love saga.
This was more than a fly-by-night romance. The social media star revealed the pair where an item in an October TikTok video, which juxtaposed footage of their first encounter with a recent clip of them locked in an embrace.
“It’s incredible how we matched so well,” gushed Ramirez.
Viewers were over the moon that their relationship took off.
“She caught feelings, then she caught a flight,” fawned one enamored fan.
Another wrote, “I’m so happy the algorithm brought me back to this love their story.”
