Naomi Campbell just got a dressing-down from a U.K. government watchdog that found a charity she founded spent only a paltry 8.5 percent of its budget on grants to the impoverished people it was supposed to be helping!
Instead, the organization, Fashion for Relief, squandered thousands on luxury hotel rooms, spa treatments, cigarettes and personal security for the supermodel, 54, a report by a government watchdog found.
In a statement, the U.K.’s Charity Commission said the organization’s “fundraising expenditure was not reasonable” and disqualified the demanding diva from being a trustee of any charity for five years.
The contemptuous catwalker launched Fashion for Relief in 2005 to support victims of Hurricane Katrina. Later, it shifted its focus to raising money for educational programs in Africa.
After an investigation, which began in 2021, the organization was dissolved in March. The Charity Commission stated it had recovered 344,000 pounds — about $461,500 — which will be distributed to two other nonprofits.
Campbell coaxed many celebrities and members of the British royal family into attending Fashion for Relief events alongside Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, the ex wife of Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, and their daughter, Princess Beatrice.
The haughty clotheshorse has long been accused of prima donna behavior, including hitting and throwing her phone at several personal assistants.
In 2006, she was convicted in New York of throwing her cell at her housekeeper. Sentenced to community service picking up trash, she showed up wearing a series of designer outfits, including a Dolce & Gabbana gown.
