A dark wool shirt jacket and a pair of jeans that the late Matthew Perry wore on “Friends” are selling for $8,400 on eBay.
“Yes, this is the actual outfit the late Matthew Perry wore as Chandler on the classic TV show,” reads the Aug. 29 listing, which was updated the day after Perry’s death.
Chandler Bing donned the outfit in the season 1 episode “The One with the Candy Hearts” while trying to break up with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Janice.
A framed printed sketch accompanies the geometric-print set.
“The shirt jacket is a one-of-a-kind custom-made piece (no tags or sizing inside) for Matthew Perry to wear in the specific episode, hence the sketch print, meaning it is an original design by the designer wardrobe for the television show Friends,” he said. The seller wrote.
“The set and costume sketch are in very good condition considering it was worn in 1994,” the description continues.
Perry rose to international fame playing fan-favorite Chandler on the iconic NBC sitcom “Friends,” which aired from 1994 to 2004.
The actor was tragically found dead in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home on October 28. He was 54 years old.
The cause of his death is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, “Friends” cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow have shared emotional memories of Perry.
“We are all absolutely devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just co-stars. We are a family,” reads the cast’s collective statement. “There is a lot to say, but now let’s take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
“Over time, we will say more, when we can,” the statement continued. “For now, our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends and everyone who loved him around the world.”
Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc and Schwimmer posted individual tributes on social media.
“Thank you for everything I learned about grace and love from knowing you.” Kudrow, 60, wrote in Instagram last week. “Thank you for her open heart in a six-way relationship that required a commitment.”
