Sioux Falls Teen charged in fatal crash

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sioux Falls police have arrested the driver in last month’s crash that left two juveniles dead and injured six others.

According to SFPD, the juvenile driver has been charged with multiple counts of first- and second-degree manslaughter, vehicular homicide, vehicular battery and other traffic violations.

In the days after the crash, police said the driver of the vehicle had not yet been determined. Police said there were eight teens involved in the crash that happened near East 18th Street and South 2nd Avenue at 6:08 a.m. Saturday, April 27

The passengers ranged from 13-years-old to 17-years-olds. Police described the scene emergency crews responded to as “catastrophic.”

Police said they will release more information at Tuesday’s police briefing. The briefing will be live streamed on KELOLAND.com at 10:30 am
