90 Day Fiance’s Tiffany Franco Files for Divorce From Ronald Smith

90 Day Fiancé star Tiffany Franco filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Ronald Smith, In Touch can exclusively confirm despite reports claiming they have officially divorced.
Tiffany, 33, filed for divorce from Ronald on February 19, 2025, at the Circuit Court for Frederick County, according to documents viewed by In Touch. The case is currently open as of the time of publications.
In Touch viewed the filing after Ronald claimed to Instagram account 90DayFianceUpdate that his divorce from Tiffany had been finalized on Friday, April 25. He explained he wanted to share the news because Tiffany is set to appear on the franchise’s new show, 90 Day: Hunt for Love.
Tiffany, 33, and Ronald met through mutual friends in January 2017 when she was visiting South Africa. They dated for six months before they got engaged, and they went on to document their relationship on season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way in 2019. At the time, fans watched Tiffany move to South Africa with her son, Daniel, in order to pursue her relationship with Ronald.
The pair got married in 2018, and Tiffany became pregnant with her and Ronald’s child soon after. The Maryland native moved back to the United States because she believed it was a more suitable place to raise a family. The couple later welcomed their daughter, Carley, in July 2019.
Tiffany and Ronald went on to experience many ups and downs in their relationship until they finally called it quits. They separated for good in 2021, and Ronald claimed he filed for divorce. At the time, he explained that he and Tiffany had been in a bad spot for “some time” and he believed he would be better off while no longer married to her.
“We are calling it quits,” the South Africa native added. “She keeps pointing the finger at me.”
The following year, Tiffany refused to sign the divorce paperwork in 2022 in an attempt to delay the proceedings.
“Ronald told me he wanted to get it done immediately and I asked him very nicely if he could please give me a few weeks to get the money together,” she exclusively told In Touch about the situation in a December 2022 statement. “I’ve been struggling a little bit financially since returning from South Africa.”
Not only was she delaying the divorce due to her finances, but the mother of two also explained that she was putting her energy towards raising her children.
“Running my own business, supporting my two children, trying to pay for this divorce and it’s Christmas time so, of course, I will make sure my kids have a fantastic Christmas and that’s not cheap,” the TLC personality told In Touch at the time. “It’s just tough timing but I will get it done. He just needs to understand that things are tight right now, the reason I’m annoyed because I want nothing more than for him to be happy and remarried or have a visa done for wherever he wants to go. But I hope that he understands that I’m trying my best.”
