16-year-old boy killed in NYC broad daylight shooting after stepping off bus

A 16-year-old boy was shot dead during a daylight brawl on a Queens street Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The teen just stepped off a bus when he got into a fight with an apparent armed rival near Jamaica Avenue and 172nd Street in Jamaica around 2:20 p.m, according to the NYPD.
The suspect, who was wearing a black vest over a gray hoodie and a mask, then blasted him in the chest before fleeing eastbound on Liberty Avenue, sources told The Post.
The wounded teen stumbled across the street and collapsed, where cops found him in a pool of blood.
He was rushed by medics to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center but could not be saved.
His suspected killer has yet to be caught.
The latest youth violence comes a month after a 14-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Sunnyside, Queens, during a fight involving multiple teens.
