Steven Tyler’s Accuser Attempted to Torpedo His Erewhon Deal

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler’s sexual assault accuser’s lawyer was upset with the rockstar’s partnership with Erewhon and fired off a letter to executives at the luxury grocery store, In Touch can exclusively report.
As In Touch previously reported, in 2022, Steven, 77, was sued by a woman named Julia Misley [a.k.a. Julia Holcomb] for sexual battery, sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Julia claimed she met Steven at an Aerosmith show when she was 16 and he was 25.
She said he invited her back to his hotel room where he performed “various acts of criminal sexual conduct.”
In her suit, she claimed the two became involved in a relationship. She alleged Steven tried to get her mom to sign paperwork to give him guardianship of her.
She said she often traveled with Steven, where he allegedly provided her drugs and alcohol. Julia said she became pregnant with his child in 1975 but had an abortion at Steven’s request.
Steven wrote about how he almost took a “teen bride” in his 2011 memoir.
Steven denied all allegations of wrongdoing in the suit. Steven’s lawyer argued, “[Julia’s] attempt to recast her highly public, multi-year relationship with Tyler as a black-and-white case of child sexual assault omits critical facts and distorts others.”
The court dismissed the emotional distress claim but allowed Julia’s lawsuit to continue on. Steven was awarded $115,000 in legal fees for defending himself against the claim that was dismissed.
As In Touch first reported, Steven accused Julia of interfering with his Erewhon deal to raise money for Los Angeles firefighters following the recent wildfires.
After the wildfires, Steven partnered with Erewhon to curate and sell special, soft-serve sundaes bearing Steven’s name and titles of two of Aerosmith’s greatest hits.
According to a press release dated February 18, the soft serve sundaes launched on January 29 and were set to sell through March 31.
On social media, Steven’s charity also claimed the deal was to run through the end of March.

Steven claimed Julia and her lawyer wrote a letter to Erewhon Markets after hearing about his planned collaboration with the grocery store. The rockstar’s lawyer argued the letter violated the court rules and he demanded $15,000 in sanctions.
Now, in new court documents, obtained by In Touch, Julia fired back at Steven’s request for sanctions.
She admitted her lawyer reached out to Erewhon about the deal with Steven. She said Steven admitted during his deposition on October 11, 2024, that he had sexual intercourse with Julia when she was a minor and that he engaged in other sexual acts with Julia when she was a minor.
She said Steven also insinuated that Julia “consented to underage sexual intercourse with [Steven], an adult, because she was already groomed and very promiscuous.”
She said her lawyer noticed the Erewhon deal on February 18. Julia said one of the sundaes was named after Steven’s hit “Sweet Emotion,” which she believes was written about her despite his denials.
Julia’s lawyer said, “If [Julia] were to see the feature, it would undoubtably traumatize her because of the name of the item and [Steven’s] photograph. Second, it was very concerning that a company that is aligned with and supportive of humanitarian rights, and conscious of and attentive to social, wellness, and health issues, would feature (apparently without its knowledge) a celebrity who is publicly accused of childhood sexual abuse.”
Julia said her attorney wrote the letter to Erewhon leadership explaining who she was and the lawsuit filed against Steven.
“Erewhon promptly responded to [Julia’s] counsel, stating that they were not aware of that information before, that they decided to do it for fundraising efforts, and that they would investigate and review the court filings. They informed [Julia’s] counsel that the items would be removed by February 28, 2025,” the filing read.
Julia called the email neither unethical nor illegal.
She accused Steven of bringing his motion to harass her and cause unnecessary delay in the case. Julia demanded sanctions against Steven in the amount of $11,200. A judge has yet to rule.
Earlier this year, Steven’s friend revealed the rockstar is not expected to tour again despite a recent live performance. The Aerosmith frontman suffered a vocal injury in 2023. He friend said that despite the one-off performance, fans should not expect to see him back on tour.
