Tom Brady’s not doing well in the dating scene and moping about his work, all the while Gisele Bündchen’s loving it up with baby daddy Joaquim Valente in exotic locales – and a source exclusively tells In Touch his whole problem is rooted in his attitude.
“He’s not dating anyone and he’s feeling a little lonely and sorry for himself,” the insider says. “Gisele, meanwhile, is enjoying a holiday in Costa Rica with Joaquim and she’s got the kids, but Tom has to work and he’s feeling left out.”
The relationship between the former NFLer, 47, and his model wife, 44, has come a long way from the glittering romance between two of the world’s most eligible people that captivated fans and made headlines, just like Tom’s down-in-the-dumps vibe is a far cry from the confident, energetic quarterback he was when they were together.
When they first began dating in 2007, Gisele, then a Victoria’s Secret model, was initially hesitant to keep things going with the then Patriots QB, as, just a month into their relationship, an ex of his, Bridget Moynahan, announced she was three months pregnant with his kid.
“It was kind of one of those moments of like, ‘Do I just run away?’” the supermodel told CBS This Morning. She ended up staying of course, eventually having kids with Tom, too – son Benjamin Rein, born in December 2009, and daughter Vivian Lake, born in December 2012.
But in October 2022, Tom would announce their split, writing, “In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.” He said that the separation was “of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world.”
After their divorce, Tom moved on with Irina Shayk, though that would lose steam and disintegrate, and Gisele began dating her son Benjamin’s jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim, 35, with whom she’s now expecting a child. The football star even reacted to the news of his ex wife’s pregnancy by posting a photo of the sunset with three red heart emojis set to Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” to his Instagram Stories, without any context, prompting fans to speculate Tom is truly in his feelings over this one.
This new arrangement has been tricky for the MVP, according to the source, who says, “He’ll likely see the kids around Christmas, but it won’t be the festive season like in the past. Everyone has fun plans except him.”
Apparently, the all-star quarterback has lost some of his mojo after his break up. “He’d be more popular with women if he wasn’t so awkward,” the source adds. “They lose interest fast. He doesn’t realize he’s the problem, he’s so self-absorbed and self-pitying and not what you’d call a romantic guy.”
