Princess Kate, Prince William Plan Monthly Trips Amid Cancer Remission

Princess Kate Middleton’s recent skiing trip with Prince William and the family was just the first of many R&R getaways the couple has planned for 2025, as she continues to heal and enjoy a whole new lease on life alongside her nearest and dearest.
“Kate and William were able to take a lovely family vacation with total peace and privacy. She got back on skis and appreciated it with a whole new sense of wonder,” a source exclusively tells In Touch. “It was so rejuvenating that William and Kate have vowed to do a getaway every month this year. Some trips will be for a few days or a couple of weeks and other times probably a night or two will be all they can manage but the important thing is that they carve out time.”
The insider says that Kate, 43, wants “more trips with her extended family” after navigating a tough year in 2024.
“She wants to make more memories with her kids, and she wants romantic getaways with William too. She’s fully aware that they will have a ton on their plates with work and she’s 100 percent ready to roll up her sleeves and handle what needs to be done, but she also believes that life is too precious not to enjoy it as well,” the source explains.
Last month, Kate and William, 42, took their children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, on a private ski trip in the Swiss Alps. The Mail on Sunday reported that the pair “slipped away from their home at Anmer on the Sandringham estate shortly after Christmas, and spent several days away, along with members of the Middleton family.”
An employee of the mountain top restaurant the royal family visited while on vacation said that it was “lovely to see Kate relaxing and enjoying herself” and that she and William “looked like a normal English family.”
“A lot of people didn’t recognize them. It was not the first time we had seen them,” the staff member continued. “They have been coming here for years. I think they love the area. We often see Kate’s sister, Pippa [Middleton], as well.”
Another person told the publication that they spotted Kate’s brother, James Middleton, on the trip, along with his wife, Alizée Thevenet.
“James was there with his wife and then Kate arrived with Charlotte and Louis. It seemed like a bit of a Middleton family knees-up. Everyone seemed to be really happy,” the onlooker explained. “There were no airs and graces and actually they seemed like any normal family enjoying a ski break. There were lots of laughs and the children were very polite. The only reason you would have known that they were people of importance was because when Kate arrived so did a group of security guards. Kate looked like she was having a lovely time.”
The royals’ family vacation points to signs that Kate is recovering nicely from her cancer diagnosis and subsequent chemotherapy treatment, which she completed in September 2024, and in January, the mom of four announced that the cancer was officially in remission.
