Post Malone Surprise Visit to Hunt in South Dakota

A routine stop for gas turned into a celebrity encounter for Aberdeen resident Ryan, who says he recognized Post Malone almost immediately when he walked into the Circle K on the city’s east side Monday night.

Ryan had just pulled into the store to fill up when he noticed two black SUVs parked out front. “I walked in and saw someone I thought looked familiar,” he said. Taking a chance, he asked, “Post Malone?” — and the chart-topping artist confirmed it with a smile.

According to Ryan, Post Malone couldn’t have been friendlier. “I welcomed him to Circle K and told him I was happy he was shopping with us,” he said. The two chatted for a bit, and Ryan described the singer as “super kind.”

Post Malone is in South Dakota for a beloved autumn tradition: pheasant hunting. The state has long been a draw for hunters from across the country, including the occasional celebrity visitor.

For Ryan, it turned an ordinary evening errand into a memorable brush with fame.
