Moment police arrest SoCal dad accused of stabbing wife’s lover to death revealed

The neighbors of a California dad who allegedly stabbed to death his wife’s secret lover to death have revealed what happened when cops descended on the quiet street this week.

Ismael Pinedalopez, 34, is accused of killing Nicholas Garcia, 28, at his Anaheim home after allegedly catching him in his underwear in his bed with their two children, aged two and four.

Dramatic video showed the suspect being walked out of the house and into a waiting police cruiser after the attack with a pocket knife on October 24.

The California Post obtained the footage from a neighbor Thursday. It shows Pinedalopez walking calmly as two officers guide him to their patrol vehicles, which had their lights flashing.

Garcia died at the scene from his wounds, officials said. Pinedalopez did not harm his wife or kids.

Next-door neighbor Elizabeth Polanco, 71, told The Post she heard the commotion surrounding the attack, saying she heard the police yell “get out” at the residence around 4:15 a.m.

She then shed more light on the couple’s relationship and the circumstances of the alleged murder, saying Pinedalopez worked nights and took care of their kids while his wife worked during the day.

Officials said Pinedalopez found his wife cheating after he came home from work early. Polanco said she never saw any indication of problems between them and thought they were “nice people.”

“This is terrible. I never imagined there would be anything scandalous like this,” she said.

She was also surprised the wife would have been having an affair, calling her a “very good girl” but possibly “irresponsible” if the cheating allegation was true.

Polanco said the wife had leaned on her after the attack, asking her to watch her daughter while she ran an errand.

Pinedalopez did not seem the type to be violent, Polanco added, mentioning that he’s “very nice, easy going, never upset.” “He was always there with the kids,” she added.

Pinedalopez has been charged with felony murder and an additional enhancement allegation of personally using a deadly weapon.

He has an arraignment court date and bail review set for Dec. 1 after waiving an earlier opportunity to be arraigned, court records show.

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer expressed horror that the children witnessed the alleged murder.

“Violence is never the answer, and it is truly heartbreaking that these young children had to witness their father commit such a horrific act of brutality in their own home,” Spitzer said.

Pinedalopez faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life if convicted on all counts. He has retained an attorney, George Karl Rosenstock of The United Firm.
