Hurricane Milton Evacuations Fail Due to Traffic & Limited Fuel Supply,
Evacuation attempts from Hurricane Milton are being hampered by limited fuel supplies and massive traffic jams. A smaller storm (not technically a hurricane) has even formed ahead of Milton in a bizarre turn of events. Behind Milton, a potential new hurricane, Nadine, follows in its wake.
Independent researcher In2ThinAir posted a clip of a news broadcast showing the storm forming ahead of Milton.
Ian Miles Cheong posted a video on social media of a young family in Florida who had to abort their evacuation attempt and return home due to not being able to fuel up their car after sitting in traffic for six hours.
“After six hours in the car, we tried to make it to Georgia, there’s no gas anywhere and the traffic is insane,” the woman said in the video.
Another social media account, Angry Citizen, posted a video of what is reportedly 30 miles of traffic leaving Tampa, Florida as hurricane Milton approaches. The video was likely filmed on Monday.
Social media account Sassafrass84 posted another video of the massive evacuation. She made the point that there are only a few routes out of Florida, a key reason why author and analyst Joel Skousen gave Florida a score of zero (the lowest score, along with Hawaii and New Jersey) for strategic relocation in his book on the matter.
