Former CNN host Don Lemon led a mob into a St. Paul church yesterday. The group stormed Cities Church, harassed worshipers, and disrupted a religious service. This was intimidation, not protest.
Don Lemon will do anything for attention. His media career is over, and stunts like this make that clear. He claims to be a Christian, but actions matter more than labels. Many people call themselves Christians in name only. Real Christians do not bully worshipers, desecrate sacred space, or interfere with people practicing their faith. And real Christians do not stay silent when it happens.
Disturbing a religious service through noise, harassment, profane language, or threats is illegal. What happened crossed a clear legal and moral line. Don Lemon and those who participated should be held accountable.
Christians, and anyone who believes in basic decency and the rule of law, need to speak up. You can protest. You can disagree. But you do not get to storm a church and terrorize people at worship. This line cannot be crossed.
