Trump BETRAYED us, Zelensky slams… saying ‘people will die’ after Starshield cut off leaving Ukraine at mercy of strikes

VOLODYMYR Zelensky has accused Donald Trump of betraying Ukraine as he warned Kyiv is “losing” the US to a scheming Vladimir Putin.
The embattled Ukrainian president hit out at Washington’s diesel deal with Russia and blamed the US for cutting off the vital Starshield system which helps Ukraine spot incoming drone and missile attacks.
Zelensky says the sudden change in Trump’s support for Ukraine will lead to more civilian deaths and leave Kyiv open to a potentially catastrophic winter.
In an exclusive interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Zelensky said Trump had chosen “the wrong side” by agreeing to import Russian diesel.
The wartime leader said: “It’s painful when President Trump chooses one side, not our side.”
He added: “I think his advisers are wrong. I don’t know who is pushing him. Not to the right side, this is not the right side of history.”
He then slammed Elon Musk for cutting off Ukraine‘s access to Starlink – the satellite based internet system Kyiv relies on for military operations.
He said: “I am sure they knew what they did, absolutely.
“Because it was 1am at night, [when] Starlink was blocked by SpaceX and the United States.”
He continued: “It’s not just about attack. It’s also about defending life.
“So people were killed because, not enough destroying, not enough interceptors, including interceptors with Starlink, which didn’t work.”
Tech titan Musk was adamant that he had nothing to do with the fatal intel removal as he said any limits are decided by the US military and “ultimately Potus”.
Former Ukrainian defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov has since confirmed they are working to get the Starlink system restored.
“I hope that it’s a mistake, maybe huge technical problem,” Zelensky said.
Asked if he felt betrayed by Trump’s decisions over the last few days, he simply said: “Really, yes.”
He said it was “a little bit more complicated than just my emotions or feelings”, before outlining how US intelligence is key to protecting Ukraine.
Piers then asked if Ukraine was losing America, Zelensky replied: “Yeah, but not because of us. We can’t be weak, otherwise we can’t survive.
“We are not selling our country. Look, guys, it’s not about business for us.
“It’s just our life and this is our country: it’s our body, our home, our children.”
Zelensky insisted: “Our country has to survive, and we count on our real partners, strategic partners, the United States and President Trump.”
Ballistic missiles struck Kyiv for two nights in a row earlier this week with air raid sirens failing to sound in time to warn people to take cover.
The Starshield system, the military offshoot of Musk’s internet wonder Starlink, is used by Kyiv to help with its air defences as it can detect enemy fire but also is used to help Ukraine fire drones of their own.
Ukraine’s military said the system was no longer working on anything moving at speeds over 100mph – most notably Russian hypersonic missiles and Iranian-made drones.

Zelensky continued his furious tirade by once again casting doubt over the energy ceasefire Trump declared last week without warning.
“It’s the worst version of peace. But anyway, it’s some step to peace, he said.
“So de-escalation, an energy ceasefire… of course, we support it because we need our people to live, to go through this winter and to stop the war. This is what we want.”
Trump struck a huge diesel deal with Putin on Friday to allow millions of barrels of Russian oil to be sold to the US and the world.
Zelensky blasted the agreement and continued launching strikes on energy hubs – despite American warnings against doing so.
Trump lashed out in the wake of the attacks – which he has blamed for soaring global fuel costs.
He called for a new Ukrainian leader and shortly after he declared an immediate “energy ceasefire” between Moscow and Kyiv.

Both sides said they had not been made aware of any such agreement before Russia continued to strike Ukrainian refineries just hours later.
The last few days have plunged Trump and Zelensky’s already fragile relationship to a new low – and comes nearly one year after their historic White House clash.
