Don’t ‘Minnesota’ Our Sioux Falls: Why Christine Erickson is the Clear Choice. And why Greg Jamison, why?

The Sioux Falls mayoral race is headed to a runoff, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Because no candidate secured the 50% threshold required for an outright victory, the battle for the city’s future comes down to Christine Erickson and Jamie Smith.
As a Brandon resident, I don’t have a ballot in this race—but like thousands of others in our area, I do 95% of my business in Sioux Falls. Its economy, safety, and leadership directly impact my livelihood.
For me, Christine Erickson remains the clear choice. We’ve all heard the whispers—that she can be tough to work with, or people gossiping about her personal life and what happened in her marriage to Tony. But frankly, I care about results. I am confident she will govern with the rock-solid conservative values Sioux Falls needs to thrive.
The real million-dollar question is: why would anyone vote for Jamie Smith? He is a lifelong radical leftist whose record speaks for itself. Look no further than his photo-op with Tim Walz—that tells you everything you need to know. We cannot allow activists to “Minnesota” our Sioux Falls. Smith consistently aligns with the worst of the progressive agenda, from backing the Biden-Harris administration’s COVID overreach to supporting weak-on-crime policies that destroy communities.
Even more baffling is why Greg Jamison—who brands himself a Republican—is crossing the aisle to endorse Smith. It smells entirely like sour grapes over his own loss. Jamison has always been a wishy-washy RINO, but jumping into bed with a radical Democrat takes the cake.
It’s time to set petty politics aside. South Dakotans are entirely exhausted by the self-inflicted divides built within our own party. Conservatives need to unite, stop the infighting, and ensure Sioux Falls stays on the right track.
