Neary 70% of voters, said they would oppose former overnor Noem from running again in the state

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — According to a KELOLAND Media Group/Emerson College poll, more than half of the surveyed voters oppose Kristi Noem running in South Dakota again.

Emerson polled 875 people in the state, around 450 of them are Republicans, with 221 registered as Independent and 201 as Democrats.

According to the poll, 67%, or 586 voters, said they would oppose former governor Noem from running again in the state. Around 22% said they would support her running and 11% said they were not sure.

The same poll also had over 38% of voters disapproving of Larry Rhoden as governor and 52% who approved Donald Trump as president.

In 2022, Noem won the governorship with a 62% vote. Although there were 350,166 who voted in the 2022 election compared to the 875 that were surveyed for the poll.
