90 Day Fiance’s Big Ed’s Dating Update After Calling Off Engagement

90 Day Fiancé star Ed “Big Ed” Brown is back on the dating scene after calling off his whirlwind engagement.

“So right now I’m dating, nothing serious. I’m back home,” Ed, 59, exclusively told In Touch on the red carpet of the 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards on Monday, November 18. “I’m pursuing my career in real estate and my wine company. So, I have a lot on my plate right now. I’m open to a relationship always, but just taking it slow, not in a big hurry.”

Despite not having a serious love in his life, he admits he hopes to “kiss somebody on New Year’s,” simply hinting, “I’ll leave it at that.” The 90 Day Fiancé alum also dished on whether he’s had any famous celebrities sliding into his DMs that he was interested in dating.

“I definitely have,” he says. “It’s probably more the other way around. I probably have slipped into other people’s DMs, but right now, not anybody famous, but mostly my proposals are women that are over the age of 85.”

Ed was just on the heels of starting to plan a wedding after announcing his engagement to Porscha Raemond in September. The pair first crossed paths at a fan meet-and-greet in Florida, where they experienced a “love at first sight” connection. The next day, they shared a romantic dinner where Big Ed got on one knee and proposed to his “dream girl” with a paperclip ring.

“I get down on one knee and everyone goes crazy. The restaurant was freaking out,” the 90 Day: The Single Life star recalled to Page Six on September 19. “I said, ‘Look I never want to let you go. I think I met The One. I want to marry you.’ And she said, ‘Yes,’ and we hugged and we kissed.”

Ed shared that he and his new fiancée spent the night “kissing and smooching,” expressing that he had fallen deeply in love with his bride-to-be. In addition, he explained that he and Porscha had not yet had sex as they planned on taking things “slow.”

Sadly the romance didn’t last long as “after some deep reflection and discussions,” the TLC personality realized “rushing” into the engagement wasn’t the “right move.”

“I wanted to take a moment to address some recent developments in my personal life,” a rep confirmed to In Touch on behalf of Ed on September 23. “As many of you know, I recently proposed in what was a whirlwind and admittedly, a very impulsive moment.”

“I have nothing but respect and love for Porscha and I wish her the best moving forward,” the statement concluded.

Porscha marked the first time Ed was linked to a new romantic interest following his breakup with on-off fiancée Liz Woods. The pair documented their 15th and final split during season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? earlier this year. Following an argument about a taco pasta recipe, Ed abruptly canceled his upcoming wedding to Liz without discussing it with her beforehand, stating that he had come to the decision they were not compatible.
