2 Amazon workers shot outside NYC facility: cops, sources

Two Amazon employees – including a woman described by kin as “an innocent bystander” – were shot in a late-night burst of violence outside a Brooklyn facility over the weekend, cops and law-enforcement sources said.

The woman, 25, took a bullet to the chest, while a 23-year-old man was struck in the shoulder around 11:15 p.m. outside the Amazon Fulfillment Center on Bay Street near Hicks Street in Red Hook, police said.

Both wounded workers were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, cops said.

The woman, identified by loved ones as Dominique Dunlap, was walking back to the facility after a trip to the deli, law-enforcement sources said.

Dunlap was “an innocent bystander [who] caught a bullet not meant for her” and suffered “significant blood loss,” according to a fund-raising page for her.

“Although we are incredibly grateful that she survived, the bullet remains lodged in her body, and she now faces a difficult road to physical and emotional recovery,” her family wrote.
